Ziphay ("we", "us", "our") is a file compression and upscaling platform developed by Abhay Donde, based in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. For the purposes of this policy, "Ziphay" refers to the website and application available at ziphay.dev and related sub-pages.
Ziphay's core compression and upscaling engine operates 100% client-side — entirely within your web browser. Your files are processed using the browser's Canvas API and JavaScript GZIP engine. No file data is ever transmitted to any Ziphay server.
This is not a marketing claim — it is an architectural fact. There is no server-side file processing pipeline. Your files never leave your device.
Files you select or drag into Ziphay are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. They are not uploaded to any server. They are not transmitted, logged, or stored by Ziphay.
We may collect anonymised, non-identifying usage analytics (e.g., page views, compression feature usage counts) to improve the product. This data does not identify individual users and does not include file contents or file names.
If you contact us via the Contact page, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not shared with third parties.
Ziphay uses minimal cookies for theme preference persistence (dark/light mode). No tracking or advertising cookies are used. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Any information collected is used exclusively to: (a) provide and improve the Ziphay service; (b) respond to contact enquiries; (c) detect and fix technical issues.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for commercial purposes. We do not use advertising networks. Ziphay products are ad-free.
Ziphay loads the following third-party resources: (a) Google Fonts — for typography (Syne, Outfit); (b) jsDelivr CDN — for the fflate compression library. These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns about CDN-level data collection.
Since Ziphay does not store your files, there is no file retention policy. Contact form submissions may be retained for up to 90 days for the purpose of responding to queries.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold (limited to contact form data). To exercise these rights, contact us at the Contact page.
Ziphay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted in the Changelog. Continued use of Ziphay after changes constitutes acceptance.
